We are transforming education for the next generation of physicians at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Students will enter a competency-based curriculum designed to meet their interests and talents as future doctors.

The Medical School has two campuses that offer different educational tracks, as well as the opportunity to earn a M.D./Ph.D. through an NIH-designated Medical Scientist Training Program.

The Medical School is based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul, where a medical student may explore the variety of specialties and subspecialties, engage in research, and pursue a joint degree.

At the Medical School – Duluth campus, students interested in becoming family physicians for rural or Native American communities may enter a focused two-year program to start them on that path. They will complete their studies in the Twin Cities.
