Curriculum
The University of Minnesota Medical School's new integrated curriculum emphasizes achievement and documentation of competencies. Each student is assigned a faculty advisor, who will provide in-depth and longitudinal professional and personal guidance during his or her medical education.
Major themes of the revised curriculum include:
- Individualized opportunities
- Improvements to the Flexible M.D., which allows enrolled medical students to pursue their interests, from research to community service
- Independent learning time set aside for individual or group study during the first two years
