Reapplication Policy

The University of Minnesota Medical School considers subsequent applications. Please note the following policy regarding reapplication to the University of Minnesota Medical School:

  1. Two AMCAS applications in two years, per applicant, may be submitted to the Admissions Committee.
  2. A delay of one year [one admissions cycle] is required before a third application is submitted.
  3. Subsequent applications will not be considered.
  4. The second and third applications must be significantly different from the previous application(s).
  5. This policy shall be effective commencing with applications submitted for the 2001 entering class.  Applications prior to that cycle will not be counted for purposes of this policy.

Please note that applicants reapplying are required to submit updated letters of recommendation, as the substance of their overall application will have changed from one year to the next. Previous recommenders may be used however.
