Pre-Med Resources
The Admissions office does not offer pre-medical advising to individual students. We encourage prospective students to contact advisors at their undergraduate institutions. We also suggest prospective students take advantage of some of the resources offered below.
The Admissions office hosts an annual Pre-Med Day every April as well as providing information on selected days in the summer.
Minnesota’s Future Doctors is a program for college students underrepresented in medicine to explore the profession and to prepare to apply to medical school.
Office of Minority Affairs & Diversity is an office that helps students of color considering medicine.
Center of American Indian and Minority Health strives to raise the health status of the Native American population by educating Native American students in the field of health care and Indian health.
The University of Minnesota Health Careers Center provides career exploration, online and in workshops, for prospective or current University of Minnesota students interested in medicine and other health fields.
Aspiring Docs is an online community to encourage diversity in medicine, hosted by the AAMC.
