Tuition and Fees
The University of Minnesota Medical School has a cost-of-degree program, meaning a student's tuition and fees are established at the time he or she enters the program. The student pays only 11 semesters of tuition, whether the student takes 3.5 or up to 6 years to complete the M.D. It should be noted, however, that if he or she enters a joint-degree program, additional tuition may be charged by the other school or college.

Financial aid is awarded to help students meet educational expenses and may consist of loans, scholarships, or college work-study. If a student does not have sufficient resources to attend medical school, he or she should not hesitate to apply for financial aid. There is no application fee. Students can always decline financial aid if they have enough resources to support expenses.
