Duplicate Diplomas

Note: If your name has changed since graduation, and you want your new name to appear on the diploma, you will first need to update your name with the University, and then order your duplicate diploma.
Diploma Certification
We do not have a copy of your diploma. However, if you mail an 8 1/2 x 11 photocopy of your diploma to the Twin-Cities "MD Certification" location listed in the table below, we will certify it.
Credential Verification
Currently, there is no fee for credential verifications.
MD Certification:
Send any forms requesting verification that you graduated from medical school to the applicable below address(es).
Duluth Students Please Note: Class of 2004 and earlier need to get verification for years 1 and 2 from Duluth. Class of 2005 and later need only verification from the Twin-Cities. (This is due to the joining of the Duluth and Twin-Cities Programs in July 2004.)

Residency / Internship / Fellowship Certification:
If you need verification that you did a residency, an internship or a fellowship at the Medical School it needs to be verified by the department the training was completed in. For further information call Graduate Medical Education at 612-625-7634.
MSPE / Dean's Letter - To get a copy of your MSPE / Dean's Letter for the above certification, e-mail Scott Davenport at daven016@umn.edu with your name, year of graduation, and the addresses of the programs you want it mailed to.
