Goals and Objectives

This course will:

  • pursue academic research in collaboration with a member of the academic or clinical faculty.
  • identify parameters and methodological components of family practice research.
  • develop knowledge and skills essential for academic careers in family practice.

Evaluation

Grades will be based on the degree to which the student met the individualized objectives of the project as judged by the course director and the faculty mentor. The student will be expected to do an oral or paper presentation on their project at the end of the elective.

Special Instructions

Before registering for this course, student must get approval from the faculty adviser and course director and present a written description identifying objectives, tasks, evaluation methods, and time requirements of the proposed project.
