During Years 3 and 4 students plan their own curriculum. Everyone must take 10 required clerkships (56 weeks) and 20 weeks of electives. There are 26 weeks of free time. What is shown here is only one example of many possibilities.

* Required Course.  † Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) students spend 3 quarters (half of fall quarter, winter, spring and half of summer quarter) in a rural site and earn 26 weeks of credit toward the M.D. degree.   †† The 4-week Primary Care Selective course is comprised of 4 weeks in Medicine, Pediatrics, Med/Peds, Family Medicine or MN CEP.
