During Years 3 and 4 students plan their own curriculum. Everyone must take 9 required clerkships (52 weeks) and 24 weeks of electives. There are 26 weeks of free time. What is shown here is only one example of many possibilities.

*Required Course. Rural Physician Associate Program (RPAP) students spend 3 quarters (half of fall quarter, winter, spring and half of summer quarter) in a rural site and earn 26 weeks of credit toward the M.D. degree. The 8-week Primary Care Medicine course is comprised of 4 weeks in Family Practice and 4 weeks in Medicine, Pediatrics, Medicine/Pediatrics, or Geriatric Medicine.
